- Look for Twin Express - the full version, not the cut down one which is
- Amiga to Amiga only. This can send files across a standard null-modem
- cable between Amiga and PC.
-
- It's on aminet sites:-

- TWINEXPRESS.lha misc/emu 104K Amiga-><-IBM serial transfer system

- That ought to work, using a null-modem cable, but not with a modem. I think
- I used "Access!" on an A500 with "ChitChat" on a PC, round about 1988. I
- don't remember the details now, though I think I've kept some notes.
-
- Twin Express is much simpler. Virtually no setting up needed, and there's
- online help if you forget the commands. It's CLI driven. Provides fantastic
- speed (see below). This is a true claim, and shows what even an Amiga
- 500 serial port can do if properly driven. The only snag I found is that
- you can't treat it as a device and transfer files with DirOpus, like you
- can with Parnet or its clones.
-
- From the doc file:-
-
- Speed is its main feature. Between two 12.5 MHz
- AT-type computers or two Amiga 3000 computers you can transfer
- data at about 22,000 bytes/second.
- Its second main feature is its ability to exchange
- files between different types of computers (e.g. Amiga and
- IBM-PC).
